BusinessObjects WebIntelligence

Course Abstract
(1 Day)

This course will employ an instructor-led discussion format coupled with progressive hands-on exercises designed to reinforce the following topics: WebIntelligence capabilities, query creation, use of query conditions, incorporating breaks and sorting, calculated columns, use of presentation styles and report formatting.

Audience

Individuals in the client community who will be accessing information in a corporate data warehouse and need to utilize BusinessObjects’ WebIntelligence reporting abilities to create, view, save and print customized reports.

Course Objectives

Upon conclusion of this course, each participant will be able to:

• Understand the role of BusinessObjects WebIntelligence for accessing and processing corporate data

• Illustrate the critical path for developing and executing WebIntelligence queries

• Define the capabilities of the tool for defining conditional selection within your query

• Incorporate sort and break functions to define report sequences and grouping

• Insert calculations and aggregate functions into queries to generate derived data columns

• Customize and modify the report layout to add headers, footers and other customized information to the report style

• Understand the WebIntelligence interface and report format

Prerequisites

Student should be familiar with basic Windows concepts and be able to function efficiently in Windows 95/98/NT environment.  Understanding of SQL is not required.
